Umeshu

Import Japanese Umeshu plum wine direct from Japan.

Joyo City has long been known as a plum village, and is home to the Aoya Plum Grove, the largest plum grove in Kyoto Prefecture. The indigenous plum variety cultivated there, Joshuhaku, is a high-quality variety with large, thick berries that, when fully ripe, have a peach-like fragrance.

Joyo Sake Brewery started making plum wine, focusing on “Joshu White,” in 1991, and its long-aged plum wine, which is aged for at least three years before being shipped, has been very well received.
